Dress up a Picture Frame

This frame I got from the Dollar Tree. I had some cute art cut outs so I glued them to the outside of the frame. I also used a glaze pen to write name and date on the frame. This is such and easy way to dress up a frame. You can hot glue items like legos, baby pins, flowers etc. What ever the photo calls for. Give it a try on your next photo frame.

The last few layouts

The "Sleep,Baby,Sleep" Layout is precious to me since it has my cutie Ethan. I changed the photo to sepia and used a 5x7 photo in a www.feelingscrappy.com weekly challenge. It was a color challenge using blue and brown. The big ribbon on the corner of the photo I took off of a package of flannel blankets. I just put the date of the picture. I didn't think any other journaling was necessary. The picture speaks for it's self.

The "He Is Here" layout turned out really good. Simple, but I really like it. I really liked the whole look and didn't want to break it up with a lot of writing. I put the journaliing on the back of the page. My friend Trudy and I made some challenges for ourselves, one being to use an arrow on a page. I chose to use it on this page pointing to the new arrival. Since I didn't have one I made one. I later wnt back and put a date and place on the layout and journaled on the back.

That is one thing about my scrapping, it's pretty resourceful. Since buying scrapping supplies is a treat at best, I have to make all my stuff count. If I see something in a layout that I really like, I will try to make my own.

The Care Bear on the birthday page I also paper pieced and I think it turned out really cute too. Th cloud is also just a free handed die cut I did.
Th journaling I did in a white pen because I wanted it kept light.

Sometimes it makes scrapping one page very lengthy when you have to make your embelishments from scratch, but in the end I usually like those layouts the best because they are all me!
